FAMILY STYLE FAQS

Family-style menus are pre-set offerings where salads, entrees, sides and desserts are served on shared platters at each table. It’s designed to feel like a meal at home with your family. Menus are available for both lunch and dinner service in the restaurant.

We welcome groups of 11 to 60 guests. Parties are typically seated in the main dining room or on the north patio (outdoor), depending on guest count and availability.

Our larger private dining room seats up to 12 guests for family-style dining. For private rooms accommodating groups of 13 to 60, please contact our catering sales team at (310) 794-7822 or email LCC@ha.ucla.edu to discuss banquet spaces.

No room rental fees apply for family-style events held at Plateia.

Yes, reservations are required and a catering sales agreement and banquet event order contract must be signed, outlining terms and applicable cancellation fees.

We accept credit cards and UC Recharge payments. A 25% deposit is required at booking, with the balance due 10 business days prior to the event.

Note: UC Recharge has certain limitations on allowable charges.

Wine service is available tableside and billed by the bottle. Individual beverage charges (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) and a la carte items cannot be processed under UC Reimbursement Entertainment meal allowances, per reimbursement allowances for mileage and meals and expenditures for business meetings, entertainment and other occasions. Any food or drink ordered outside the contracted menu must be paid directly by guests at the time of ordering.

Self-parking is available underneath the Luskin Conference Center and in UCLA Parking Structure 8, Level 4, directly across the street from the center. Learn more about parking.
